Contains a variety of updated financial information, a list of the fund's portfolio securities, and other information that will be current as of the last day of the fund's semi-annual fiscal year. (December 31, 2010)
2009 First Quarter
Despite many fits and starts, the federal government's monetary
initiatives to restore liquidity to the credit markets appear to be working.
2009 Second Quarter
During the market downturn last year, we kept our focus on individual stock selection
and concentrated the portfolio into the best opportunities we could find. We
positioned the portfolio aggressively into the market bottom. This has allowed us
year-to-date to outperform our benchmark as the market has climbed.
2009 Third Quarter
The Keystone Fund portfolio has strongly outperformed its benchmark year to date. We believe the worst of the credit crisis and economic uncertainty is behind us.
2009 Fourth Quarter
We are pleased to report strong performance for the Keystone Large Cap Growth Fund in 2009.
2010 First Quarter
The US equity markets continued to climb a wall of worry, overcoming many headwinds to economic growth.
2010 Second Quarter
The second quarter of 2010 has given equity investors quite a bumpy ride.
2010 Third Quarter
What a difference a quarter makes!
2010 Fourth Quarter
A year ago, few people expected the US equity market to generate mid-teens or better returns in 2010.
2011 First Quarter
Last quarter, we encouraged our readers to "Enjoy the Ride" in the US equity market as the Federal Reserve embarked on QE2 and the US economy shows further signs of recovery.
2011 Second Quarter
In August of 2010, as the US was experiencing the beginning of a very subpar economic
recovery, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke hinted that the Fed might embark
on a second round of quantitative easing ("QE2").
2011 Third Quarter
The memory of the credit freeze that occurred after Lehman collapsed remains fresh for all investors, driving
heightened contagion concerns especially with regard to another credit crisis.
2011 Fourth Quarter
Despite a slowly recovering US economy, equity market correlations remained high and macro factors made stock picking difficult in 2011.
